Devo In Utero (Sour Spring)

A three channel video installation. Channel 1 projected onto blackboard with bells affixed to it. Channel 2 spandex screen wedged between two walls. Channel 3 Limo video projected onto roofing material.

Various Sculptures
Many of these works were created in Imperial Beach, California, not far from the border of California and Mexico. If you walk down the beach you’ll end up at a chain linked fence which goes into the Pacific Ocean seperating the two countries. Friendship Park, a place where family’s seperated by the US Border met to see one another has been closed since 2020 with no sign of it ever being re-opened.
Other sculptures were made in my office at work and at home on the East Coast.

Black bleached tee with blue pastel & tiny brick, from Blue Hole, New Jersey (attached with red string)
A sweater my friend Angella gave me is covered in concrete.
A piece of fabric is dyed shades of green and yellow then glued to make it stiff.
A frame is made of ceramic glazed buff, a piece of tracing paper fills the frame, a piece of yellowed old transparency film is spray painted with dots. Handmade paper colored red and green covered in wax with savasana nanana print attached. Photo from Audubon book “hermit crab has no housing problem” & “beach fleas feed on rotting seaweed” printed on cotton then covered in wax and adhered to glass.
